Cheap Wedding Accessories for a Bride-to-Be

When planning your wedding, it can be stressful, as this is one of the most important days of your life. The one day you will remember forever. All the little extras can put a dent in your budget, but, there are options for cheap wedding accessories, that will help keep money in your pocket, while still giving you a beautiful wedding. I learned how to frugally shop myself, by planning my own wedding, on a very strict budget, and there is not one thing I would change. The basic wedding accessories needed are: your unity candle, toasting goblets, cake knife, cake topper, gift card holder, invitations, and maybe a ring pillow. All these can be found or even made, for a reasonable price, that will not hurt your pocketbook.

For each of the items I listed, it will be even cheaper if you know a person who sells advertising for a living. Someone who sells business cards and miscellaneous items to stores with their names on it, have catalogs for these items. Why do I say "know them"? They can purchase these items at their cost, and will not ask for a profit on their part, just to help you out. I was lucky as my father was in this business, and I was able to buy these items cheap. For your gift card holder, and ring pillow, if you can sew, purchase some silk material, ribbon, and beads that matches your dress, and sew them. If you do not sew, ask someone who does if they will make them, chances are they will not charge you. Again watch the ads for valuable coupons at the fabric store to get up to half off your material.

One place to shop for cheap wedding accessories is online. One great place to do this is Ebay, all the items listed above can be found on there. I was able to purchase mirrored tiles to place under the flower arrangements on the tables at rock bottom prices, compared to the retail stores. Also finding toasting goblets, which the price included engraving, starting at a low of $12.95 for two.

Watch the Sunday newspaper for valuable coupons for your local craft store. Almost each week there is one in my local paper for 50% off. Here you can use this coupon to make your own wedding veil, purchase the candy boxes, stationary for the invitations, beads and ribbon. Letting out your creative side and making the little items enables you to have those extra wedding accessories that will make people go "Wow!, she did a wonderful job planning her wedding", and, they will never know it cost you so little.

Cheap Wedding Shoes: How To Find The Perfect Pair

After finding the perfect dress and veil for your wedding, you may find your clothing budget has been drained. Finding cheap wedding shoes doesn't have to be difficult. Of course, just as with your dress, the shoes have to be perfect. In order to find the perfect pair of shoes at an affordable price, you might have to do some shopping around.

A wedding is an expensive event. In many cases, brides-to-be spend more than they budgeted on their dress and other wedding purchases fail to factor in the cost of shoes. A great pair of wedding shoes can be purchased for as little as $25.00. You likely won't get a pair of designer shoes for this price, but you can get an excellent pair of shoes that will be perfect for your special day.

Discount shoe stores often have a wide selection of shoes that are the perfect compliment to a variety of styles of wedding dresses. Stores like Payless Shoe Source have great prices and often have sales that allow you to get up to 50% off the second pair of shoes. This means not only can you get yourself the perfect pair of shoes, but you can choose your bridesmaids shoes for a price that everyone can afford. Another option is consignment shops. Frequently the shoes that were purchased for weddings are sent to consignment shops after only one wear. Brides-to-be can find awesome deals at these shops. The selection is not as varied, but shopping around can broaden your options.

The color of your shoes is another important choice. Traditionally, brides who wear white dresses opt for white shoes. Though if your dress is of another color, some discount shoe retailers offer a shoe dying service. For about $25.00, you can choose the style of shoe that suits you best and have them dyed to match your dress or your color theme. Having shoes dyed can take up to two weeks, so be sure to make your choice early enough that you can receive them before your big day.

In order to find the best deal a pair of wedding shoes, you may have decide that having the best of everything isn't necessary. You can have an excellent pair of shoes with great quality and exquisite style by opting for an off brand. If you have reservations about this, consider that you will likely only wear the shoes one time. Even shoes of the lowest quality can withstand a one time wear. After you have worn them, they will become a keepsake or end up in a consignment shop. Cheap wedding shoes are available, you just have to know where to look to find them.

Finding Cheap Wedding Veils Takes A Little Creativity

The perfect wedding veil can make a fabulous dress even better, but finding beautiful cheap wedding veils can sometimes be a battle. Bargain shopping is key; time is money, but since we are trying to save money… we spend the time.

Googling is a great place to begin the hunt for a fine veil, but beginning with a google may be slightly overwhelming since there are so many websites discussing cheap veils. If internet is accessible, I would start with a search on ebay for a great deal. Many times with ebay free shipping is a perk as well. Another good way to search online is by googling but doing a more specific search. Include a description of the veil you are looking for in your google search; examples could be "luxurious wedding veils," "simple wedding veils," "beaded wedding veils" or "classic wedding veils." With online searches just a click away, the options for saving money on wedding veils are endless. An additional option to online searches is also websites like craigslist and your local newspaper website–sellers will most of the time let you come and view the product before purchasing.

Maybe you have limited access to the internet, or maybe you would simply rather shop the good old fashioned way. While the options may not be as accessible as a click away, the dream of a cheap wedding veil is not lost. Local wedding resale shops are wonderful little places with some trash, but lots of treasures. If you plan on hitting up resale retailers, I advise to make some time to sift through the items for sale. Keep your eyes peeled and your imagination at work when sifting–you may be able to take a piece from veil one and mix and match with pieces of veils two and three and voila! You have a very original very cheap wedding veil.

If you really have some time on your hands, raid your local fabric shops to create your veil from scratch. Keeping your materials at the lowest possible cost becomes the task at hand in this situation. I suggest Wal-Mart and the clearance section for creating and assembling your cheap wedding veils. As you can see, there are many options avaiable to you when searching for an inexpensive wedding veil — all it takes is a little creativity!

Cheap Wedding Candles to Lower Wedding Cost

Keeping the flame alive while saving on wedding candles

Don't let anyone fool you, organizing a wedding is stressful. It means making sure you come in within your budget, and when the caterer hits you with the cost to rent the forks and knives alone, you realize you've got to make sure you find the best deal possible on other items. But you don't want to skimp on the keepsakes. So where can you find cheap wedding candles?

Try "Google shopping", if you go to the search engine's homepage, there's a tab at the top marked "more". Click it and you'll see a tab marked "shopping". Just type in "wedding candles". You can even type in, "cheap wedding candles". In a search engine second, you'll see a list of vendors, pictures and prices pop up.

Getting married in a church? Ask the pastor if the congregation has a supply store it works with. They may be able order it for you at a discount.

To save a bit more money on wedding candles, skip monogramming, that will help shave down the price.

You may also want to register for candles as a gift. If someone is throwing a bridal shower for you, let them know what kind of wedding candle you are looking for. People who attend would probably be thrilled to buy such a beautiful keepsake for you that you can cherish forever.

With some out of the box thinking you can find cheap wedding candles that will light up your perfect day.

Cheap Wedding Gowns That Look Full Price

Glamorous Wedding Gowns for Less

A bride who is planning a wedding, but does not wish to start off her new marriage with a large debt from the ceremony, has quite a task before her. Costs accrue quickly, from invitations to venue, but finding cheap wedding gowns may be the most difficult item on the agenda.

The wedding gown can be considered the centerpiece of the wedding ceremony, which is why boutiques can justify charging a ridiculous amount of money for a gown that will be worn only once before it is put away and likely only seen again in pictures. However, it is very possible to find a wedding gown that is less expensive if you are willing to spend a little extra time and be creative.

Do not overlook second-hand, consignment, or thrift shops. Many brides end up parting with their gowns and have no other choice than to sell them to the highest bidder. You can also look through newspaper classified ads and yard sale listings to find individuals who may wish to sell their gowns directly. Online auction sites often play host to wedding gowns, and some great deals can be found if you can find something in your size and to your liking. Be forewarned: buying a gown that is not your size will likely need alteration, and many times this is as expensive as the gown itself.

Family members and close friends can also provide an excellent source for wedding attire. Wearing a gown that was previously worn by a woman you love, or from whose marriage you wish to derive inspiration for your own, is not only a beautiful gesture, but also a pocketbook savings.

If you are not interested in wearing someone else’s wedding gown, there are still inexpensive options for new dresses. Department stores that carry ball gowns or prom dresses are an excellent source for cheap dresses, particularly out of season. You may be surprised at the number of formal gowns that are white or off-white and can easily double as wedding gowns but at a fraction of the cost. Of course, a bride does not have to wear white at her wedding. It is becoming increasingly fashionable to add color to the bridal gown. Pale pinks, blues, greens, and even multi-colored gowns have seen their way down the aisle. Sarah Jessica Parker even wore black at her wedding!

As you see, cheap wedding gowns are not an impossibility, and with the money you save on your gown, you can justify spending a little extra on your honeymoon.
