Save Money on Wedding Rings - Buy Secondhand

While you may not want to think about the staggering statistic that roughly 60% of marriages end in divorce, I will give you a reason why this may be a benefit to you. Wedding rings are an important part of the engagement to many women, and of course you want one that is perfect for you. However, wedding rings are like new cars; the second you take it out of the store it depreciates in value by 40% or more. So, why break the bank buying new when you can browse a wide used selection of barely used rings?

People are getting divorced everyday and they are selling away their rings. Just go to your local jewelry store and ask if there is a used section. I would recommend doing this at a jewelry store and not a pawn shop because jewelry stores will not sell inauthentic diamonds and pawn shops will. Not only will you get a great selection of rings, but you will pay a fraction of the cost of the ring at retail value. Some of these rings have been custom designed, so you won't find another like it anywhere.

The fact is, with all the stress of the wedding, don't make paying for the ring an added hassle. Take the money you saved and put a down payment on a house or a vacation home. With the economy going south as quickly as it is, people must find ways to cut cost without cutting value or beauty. This is one way that you can make your entire wedding more affordable and less of a financial hazard.

Remember not to buy a ring from a place that is not authentic. Do your research online so you can be armed with all the facts of the trade. Know which questions to ask to get the right answers.
