Inexpensive Wedding Flower Ideas

Ideas for Beautiful Wedding Flowers on a Budget

So you want to have the perfect wedding. Most brides do, wouldn't you agree? The wedding and reception flowers often take up a huge chunk of the wedding's budget. In fact, Costofwedding.com was able to estimate that couples spend around $525 on flowers for their ceremony, $215 for corsages and boutonnieres, and at least $700 for the reception. So with an average cost of well over a thousand dollars, this is one area that many couples look to in order to cut back on the cost of the wedding.

Fortunately, the wedding flowers is one expense where a couple can cut back and still have a great looking ceremony. One idea that may not be obvious is to ask the church or other location where you are celebrating your wedding if you can use some of their "used" flowers from previous ceremonies. If getting married in a church, for example, you could plan to be married close to a religious holiday, and the church will likely already be decorated with beautiful flowers.

You could also go another route and stay away from real flowers all together. Silk flowers look fabulous and are quite inexpensive by comparison. You will lessen the cost of the wedding, but still enjoy the beautiful look of flowers. Michaels craft store has many silk flowers to choose from, and there are always other supply stores you could go to. You could use these silk flowers and put together your own one of a kind flower ensembles.

So when looking for ways to conserve cash on your wedding, flowers is a great place to start. With a little creativity, you can save money and still have the great floral display at your wedding that you have always dreamed of.
